The accurate prediction of friction in highly loaded concentrated contacts is one the most challenging aspects thermal elastohydrodynamic (TEHD) simulation. correct modelling fluid behaviour on macroscale, particular non-Newtonian flow behaviour, an essential prerequisite. For many years, shear-thinning models have been developed and validated with different approaches controversially discussed. In basic research, model fluids are often used this context, which a similar to practical lubricants. Accompanied by earlier research results, paper carries out comprehensive investigations rheometric squalane. Based traction measurements at four tribometers, overall parameter optimisation performance evaluation three performed using numerical TEHD simulations. order additionally validate theoretical viscosity optimised curves then compared non-equilibrium molecular dynamics (NEMD) key aspect simultaneous consideration terms rheometric, experimental, simulative without changing parameters.
